Description

Positive Education

St Peters Lutheran College welcomes you to the St Peters Life Symposiums.

All members of the St Peters community are welcome to attend and please share the link with other interested parties.

This symposium aims to give parents an insight into Positive Psychology and the work of Martin Seligman with a particular focus on his PERMA model for wellbeing. Parents will learn strategies to enhance subjective wellbeing and other positive psychology interventions for their day-to-day life with their children. Consisting of Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishment, PERMA offers a workable framework to address our approach to wellbeing. This symposium will enable participants to reflect on the PERMA model with regard their own life in their role as a parent, partner, work colleague or friend.

Everyone who attends will receive access to an online resource with further self-directed learning opportunities.

Dan Haesler works with individuals and organisations around issues of leadership, engagement, mindset and wellbeing. He consults to publicly-listed companies, government education projects, schools, professional associations and not-for-profit organisations. Dan regularly features in the media and is passionate about equity and social justice.
