Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN and West Moreton Health invites GPs, midwives, GP registrars, junior doctors and other health professionals working in antenatal care to join our Annual Maternity Shared Care Symposium.

The symposium will include several presentations and continue the joint discussion on how we can continue to better align antenatal care services and improve maternal and paediatric outcomes in our region.

Door prizes to be drawn throughout the day and include Fetal Doppler and Smokerlyser among others!*

The event will cover:

  • The pregnancy journey from the preconception period to post partum for mother and baby.
  • The importance of continuity of care within a shared care model to avoid fragmentation of care and services.
  • Recent Clinical updates in obstetric care all GP’s should know.
  • Improved health outcomes for mother and baby.
  • Behavioural issues and neurodevelopment concerns in in young children.
  • Early intervention in development delays.
  • Paediatric Emergency medicine simulation.

As well as presentations, service providers and referral agencies will have stands at the event, to enable you to have direct discussions around what is available across the region.

This event is presented face to face and will provide the opportunity for CPD points.

Please note: It is recommended to attend either Mater's Alignment Program or review the RACGP Antenatal and Postnatal Modules before attending this workshop.
