Friday Night Dinner, Bible Talk and Games in Glebe (18+)
Free dinner, a relaxed Bible talk and games every Friday in Glebe. Adults aged 18 and over. Come alone, leave with friends.
Looking for something to do on a Friday night that isn't scrolling alone? Come to Glebe. Dinner is on us, the Bible talk is a conversation and not a lecture, and the night finishes with games and a lot of laughing.
This is not a formal church service. Think of it as a relaxed Friday evening where you can share a good meal, meet real people, and talk about life's big questions in a down-to-earth way.

HOW THE NIGHT RUNS
6:30 PM, Dinner and connection. Dinner is provided for everyone. Sharing food around a table is one of the best ways to break the ice, so come as you are, grab a plate and meet other people who are also looking for a warm community and deeper conversation.
7:30 PM, Bible talk and discussion. We open the Bible together and read through the verses on a topic that applies to everyday life, such as purpose, relationships, hope and challenges. It is interactive and open to questions, and it's meant to start real conversations instead of one-way lectures.
8:30 PM, Games and making friends. Something different each week. Sometimes it's a lively game of Uno, other times a group challenge or another favourite. The point is to relax, laugh and build friendships in a casual setting.
WHAT THE ATMOSPHERE IS LIKE
There is no pressure, no routine rituals, and no expectation that you fit a particular mould. You don't need to ask what kind of church this is, because we're not about labels or categories. We're people enjoying each other's company and looking at timeless truths in a modern setting.
WHO CAN COME
Anyone aged 18 or over who wants friendship, wants to explore faith, or simply wants a good Friday night without spending money on expensive dinners or crowded venues. If you're completely new to the Bible, curious about spirituality, or already walking in faith, you'll feel welcome.
WHY COME ON A FRIDAY NIGHT
Community beats another Friday night scrolling alone.
Dinner is on us, so all you need to bring is yourself.
You'll meet people who are genuine and fun.
You'll probably leave encouraged, maybe with a fresh perspective on life.
It's a weekly anchor point at the end of your work week. Instead of finishing the week drained, you can start your weekend connected and refreshed.

Agenda

Dinner & Connection
Dinner is provided for everyone and starts at 6:30 PM. It is more than just a meal. It is a relaxed space to sit down, share good food and connect with people. Whether you come with friends or on your own, dinner is where conversations begin, laughter flows and new friendships form before we move into the Bible talk. It is the ideal chance to meet like-minded people, unwind after the week and feel at home from the start.
-
Bible Study and Discussion
The Bible talk runs from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. We open the Scriptures together, read through the verses on a topic and reflect on what they mean. The discussion is interactive and often centred on a key topic, with space for everyone to share their thoughts and questions. It is not a lecture but a group conversation that encourages honest dialogue, practical insight and a deeper understanding of how the Bible relates to everyday life.

Games and making friends
After the Bible discussion, the evening continues with games, fun, and great conversation. This time is all about relaxing, laughing, and connecting with new friends in a casual setting. Each week brings something different, sometimes it’s a lively game of Uno, other times it might be a group challenge or another favourite. The focus is on having a good time together, building friendships, and enjoying an informal space where everyone feels welcome to join in.
