Special Weapons and Tactics for developing resilience, leadership and study skills

This course targets students entering Year 10 and 11 in 2018 to prepare for their last years of high school. The focus of this course is to equip students with the tools and strategies they require to revise and reinforce a range of study skills, assisting students to study more effectively and to consolidate their understanding in preparation for examinations. The course also helps students to improve their critical thinking skills and habits of mind, and to increase students' confidence in their ability to do well.

Facilitator

Rosemary Horn coordinates the Bachelor of Primary Education Program at USC Gympie and is a Learning Strategist. Rosemary has over 30 years’ experience teaching high school students in the Gympie region. Her academic credentials include an EMBA, Bachelor in Education, Diploma in Teaching, CertIV in Training and Assessment and is a PhD candidate. Rosemary has a passion for teaching students and assisting them achieve their full academic potential.
