Description

Prioletti Consulting and Disability Advocacy Resource Unit (DARU) are joining forces to provide Disability Advocacy Organisations in Victoria with cultural safety training on working with CALD people with disability. This training aims to enhance disability advocacy sectors capacity to improve responsiveness and culturally safe advocacy services to CALD people. This training will also assist organisations to meet the DHHS Self-Assessment and Quality Reporting requirement for funded organisations to assist with the design and delivery of providing accessible and culturally safe organisations for CALD people. The learning outcomes that will be covered are:

  • Understand how best to support CALD people with disabilities in crisis
  • Communicate and engage effectively with CALD people with disabilities
  • Understand cultural safety in workplaces and professional relationships, and create culturally safe organisations and workplaces
  • Work in partnership with CALD people with disabilities and communities

This is a not to be missed professional development opportunity. This training is provided free to Disability Advocacy Organisations funded by the Victorian Disability Advocacy program. Places are limited to 20 participants. Please ensure that you let us know your accessibility needs and dietary requirements.
