Whether you're an experienced dancer or just starting, our Intro Lesson at 7pm is the perfect way to get started. Learn the basics of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and more, and then hit the dance floor with a mix of the most popular Latin dance styles.
With a lively atmosphere and friendly crowd, our Saturday Night Latin Mix Social Night is the perfect way to unwind and have some fun. So grab your friends and join us for a night of dancing, laughter, and good times!

All you need are some comfortable shoes that will stay on your feet (not slip on), and comfortable clothes you can move freely in. You’ll find people in clothes they wear to work, jeans and a tee or activewear. It’s casual, that's why we recommend comfortable clothing and non-grip shoes.
No - In fact most of our attendees arrive on there own. We constantly change partners, and it's encouraged for everyone to invite others to dance. At Rio, we take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere and foster a culture of inclusivity.
Our dance studio, featuring air conditioning for your comfort, is located on the first floor at 193 Boundary Street in the West End area. You'll find the entrance next to West End Sports Supplements.
All are invited to join us, no matter where you are from in Brisbane. It's not necessary to be a current student at Rio Rhythmics, nor do you need any previous dance experience. Most people who attend have never danced before.
We will cover the 4 main popular Latin Dance styles in Brisbane. Merengue, Salsa, Bachata and Brazilian Zouk.

We play 2 of everything then as the night goes on we play 2 of each style minus any that are no longer being danced.
