To celebrate World Environment Day the Green Living Centre will be hosting a free screening of Regenerating Australia, the latest film from Damon Gameau. We're also launching a local community podcast Rewilding with the Mudcrabs.

Regenerating Australia is a 17-minute short film based on a four-month interview process with a diverse group of Australians who shared their hopes and dreams for the country's future. It is a new story for our nation: a story of empowerment, solutions and regeneration.

After watching the film there will be a facilitated question and comments session and there will be time for participants to work with others and develop a personal action plan. We encourage Inner Westies of all ages to attend to watch the film and share your hopes, knowledge and experience.

Rewilding with the Mudcrabs tells the story of the Mudcrabs, a group which restores bushland along the Cooks River. It's produced by Sarah Allely and Olivia Rosenman, audio producers and journalists who previously explored the relationship between humans and the natural world in their podcast series Brain on Nature.

Rewilding with the Mudcrabs was funded through Inner West Council Environment Grants. We'll introduce details of Council’s next round of Environment Grants opening Wednesday10 August.
