About this event

Relax and unwind after a long week with our ceramic painting class with glazes in the Brisbane City studio. Get inspired by the colourful studio and make a piece of art you can show off at home.

This class is the perfect way to express your inner Picasso and melt (or paint) away from your worries of the day while sipping on a glass of your favourite beverage.

Get creative with friends or spend a calling solo evening at this boozy ceramic painting class in Brisbane

Note: Please note the Ceramic pieces are for separate sale to the ticketed price. This ranges from $10 to $80 depending on the piece you select. We will include a greenware pottery wheel bowl at no charge, this is a piece that has not been in the kiln yet, once painted will need to go into the kiln once before putting the clear gloss glaze on for a second firing.

Please note we do not kiln fire your ceramic pieces - Kiln firing is available locally at Milton, and is required for the glass glazing effect.

This clay is Stoneware No 10 white clay. For glazing, your ceramics bisk ware has been in the kiln this can be painted with ceramic underglaze paint, once dry, a clear glaze coat is added, and then it is ready for the second firing.

If painted before the first kiln firing, with the undercoat glaze, it must be fired first, before adding the second coat of clear glaze, then fired a second time. All glazed ceramics have been fired twice. We will have some pieces available called greenware, which still require firing.

We offer a fun informative experience of the process. You take your items home on the day, and the firing process is very inexpensive to get the final result in your desired timeline.

The session includes the ceramic glazes required. However, it does not include the ceramics available for separate sale organised before the event. Any clay creations made only in our hand built or pottery wheel throwing sessions may also be used for the ceramic painting process

Bring an apron, as these are not provided due to covid procedures. Bring a bottle of your favourite beverage. We have plastic cups, however, any glassware or cutlery is also BYO.

Beginners welcome. No experience is required.
