Event description

Trail Running through Mundy Regional Park! Join us for a 10.3km or 17.3km fun filled trail run.

Whether you're back for another round in the "Summer Series" or brand new to trail running, this event is not to be missed! We get adventurous types who've accomplished plenty of other fitness achievements maybe a half, full or even ultra marathon! Trails are fun and open to everyone.

We provide course markings the whole way to help you stay on track! We'll also have assistants at key intersections to help you stay on track, and giving out high 5's!

Not only that, but we've got a quirky "Swiss Alps" theme, and an awesome community that make our events so special.

Courses will be well flagged - and marshalled at a few key intersections. We will do our best to keep you on course, but it is your responsibility to keep aware of the flagging.

Please checkout our website for all the specifics http://www.perthtrailseries.com.au/blog/swissmurdie

What am I required to bring?

1. You must carry a hydration system that will hold a minimum of 500ml for the duration of the event. This could be a handheld, a pack, or a waist belt. We recommend most runners carry at least 1 ltr.

2. You must wear your race bib at all times during the event.

3. A positive, prepare for anything attitude!

What will I be running on?

Course Description: The final race of the series gives you one more opportunity for scenic views. This course lets you enjoy many single track sections, interspersed with some wide tracks to allow easy passing opportunities. A short climb from the start will separate the group well before the single track sections start. After a second and steeper climb (with requisite false summits), you will enjoy some undulating track before descending to the single track. This section has both rocks and roots, so you can unleash your inner steinbock (that's alpine ibex for the non-Swiss). At about 4.5km, the long and short courses diverge, so the long runners can go have more fun and see some different pretty valleys. This adds a nice, healthy 7km for long course runners. Then they return to the point where they diverged and carry on with the same course as the shorter distance runners.

Is there an Aid Station?

Aid stations: There will be one aid station at approximately halfway, providing water and carbohydrates in the form of Hammer Heed (so bring your reusable, collapsible cup!) and bananas. Depending on race day weather, a second aid station may be provided.

When do I collect my Race Bib?

Race bib pickup for this event is on race day only:

Start/finish line, Sunday 25 February 2018 (race day), 6.00 - 6.50 AM (long course and short course)

Will I receive more information?
