Spending the night at one with nature is an epic and rewarding experience, but it can be difficult to know where to begin. If you’re planning your first overnight hike, taking a step into the unknown is daunting. If you’ve got a few hikes under your belt, you might be wondering how to improve your setup. We’re here to help!

Overnight hiking can be an overwhelming hobby to get into at first. With so many conflicting opinions about how to do it "the right way", deciding how to approach your first overnighter can be confusing. That’s why our expert team are providing some no-nonsense tips on how to nail your setup, so you can hit the trail in no time.


In this session, we'll cover:

- What essential gear should you take with you

- Safety considerations to keep in mind that are specific to multi-day hiking

- How to pack your hiking pack for maximum comfort

- Everything you need to know about campsite selection

- Some great first overnight hiking options around Perth

We'll also have some examples of overnight hiking set ups (packed and unpacked) including all the gear and essentials you will need for your next trip.

Stay tuned for one of our upcoming events, we will be running a "Meals on the Trail" workshop that runs through everything you need to know about stoves, pots, and cooking out on the trail.

- Tickets purchased are non-refundable

- All proceeds from ticket sales are donated to either an environmental charity or a partner not-for-profit (such as the Bibbulmun Track Foundation)

- Tickets for those Under 15 are free. Proof of age may be requested upon entry.

- If you have purchased a ticket and cannot attend, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice.

- If you do not provide at least 24 hours notice, you will be considered a no-show and receive a strike against your name.

- Should you be a no-show for three events, you will be unable to purchase tickets for future events.
