What can you expect at the conference?

After dealing with an ever increasing number of children, parents and teachers struggling in 2019, we have decided to bring in the experts from Melbourne to address some of the issues parents are facing namely:

- How to deal with difficult children effectively

- How to manage social media and technology in a constructive manner

- How to develop emotional intelligence in children.

Nutricula Psychology in collaboration with principals and teachers of local primary schools is hosting this event to assist parents, teachers and counsellors.

Dr David Collins - Clinical Psychologist & Director of Braingrow, Melbourne

- How much is enough?

- How to create a balanced child

Joseph Riordan - Clinical Psychologist, Melbourne

In his presentation he will review and explore childhood trauma, mental health issues and solutions for children and their families in the challenging climate of a rapidly changing world. He will cover:

- Fetal, Birth and Toddler Trauma: The foundation of a happy or difficult life.

- Middle childhood trauma: From fairytales to reality

- Adolescence: When the Cortex (the thinking brain) goes on holiday!

- Parenting: What do we do? Why can't they be like we are? "Perect in every way"

- Why do we have emotions?

- Dealing with emotional outbursts.
