The trainer is Paula Cross
Paula came to Mindfulness Meditation 14 years ago due to the waves of life crashing her against the rocks of suffering. With three children and working as a chef, her life was a little crazy to say the least.
Paula found solace in meditation, yoga and Buddhist teachings. As she started to feel the calming effect of these Eastern practices and how it changed not only her life but her family’s life, it increased happiness and a feeling of balance in herself.
Paula undertook a two-and-a-half year training in Buddhism for beginners at Chenrezig Institute on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. After four years of yoga, she also decided to commit to a two-year traineeship with the Gold Coast Yoga Centre, to share and guide others through the waves of life. In this time she also attended 10-, five- and three-day silent retreats in the Goenka Vipassana, Tibetan and Zen Buddhism traditions.
Paula is the director of a successful yoga, meditation and breathing studio with an ongoing daily practice of mindfulness.
Recently completing a 31-hour Integrative Restoration – iRest® Level 1 Yoga Nidra Training certificate course has further opened a pathway for Paula to help people bring their life into balance and find the peace that dwells within. This is where Eastern philosophy meets Western science, “like two great oceans meeting”.
Paula is passionate about sharing her experience and knowledge with other people who find themselves lost in the ocean of life. Let’s part the sea of Manfulness and go deep within the heart of peace.
Testimonials the Introductory Course:
"The course was very relaxed and friendly, and full of useful practical advice that recognised the limits to time that everyone faces. Also I liked the mix of people attending, with a range of different reasons for being there."
— Rosie Cree
"Since doing this course, I have been sleeping much better, I feel much more in control of my emotions, I have enjoyed 'noticing' my own state, but also it has transferred to everything around. This means I am re-enjoying many things that I had been taking for granted."
— Sandy Good
"The course guidebook was a useful guide and very informative. I also enjoyed the formal practice and the way different strategies were explained."
— Linda Daniell
