The City of Boroondara's Community OnBoard program provides networking and capacity building opportunities for local Community groups, clubs and not-for-profit organisations in the municipality.

The 2016-17 Community OnBoard program features eight free workshops commencing on Wednesday 9 November 2016. See below for further information.

Engaging youth - how to make your organisation more interesting

Would you like to involve more young people in your organisation? Co-facilitators Mel Jeffrey and Vanessa Virgato will take you through a step by step process that will enable you to communicate and engage with young people and retain their interest in your organisation.

2016 Annual Community Strengthening Grants Celebration

Join the City of Boroondara, the Rotary Club of Balwyn and other successful applicants in celebrating the awarding of the 2016-17 Annual Community Strengthening Grants.

This event will showcase three very different organisations who received a grant in 2016-17. Three guest presenters will share stories and insights from their projects.

Measuring Social Impact

Delivered by Suzi Young and Ross Wyatt from Think Impact, this interactive workshop will help you to understand, measure and communicate the social impact of your programs. Learn how to measure what matters and to use storytelling to communicate the outcomes in a compelling way.

Getting the most out of cloud-based accounting

Robert Spralja will provide an overview of cloud-based accounting and its benefits. Learn how to set up a cloud accounting platform and how to process receipts from direct bank feeds, process payments and prepare financial reports.

Community and Business Networking

Brett De Hoedt will host this popular annual speed networking event between local businesses and community organisations. Brett will be joined by a keynote speaker from The Centre for Workplace Leadership who will speak on the impact of the Future of Work on the business and community sectors.

Crowd funding 101

Wanting to raise funds for your project? Come along to this session to learn from Pozible team members about how to set up and run an online fundraising campaign. Get advice on building a social media presence, putting together the content for your project, making a promotional video and choosing rewards for your supporters.
