Venus Vamp

Venus Vamp is the High Priestess of melodramatic burlesque, concocting spellbinding shows of dark glamour and mystical striptease. Venus has been vamping it up on stage since 2006. She has danced all over Australia with highlights including Australian and Perth Burlesque Festivals, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney Fringes, Melbourne Cabaret Festival, Art and About and Sydney’s LGBQTI Mardi Gras, as well as countless local shows.

Besides performing magical dance routines on stage, Venus is a prolific producer creating popular events such as annual Halloween burlesque show ‘Night of the Stripping Dead’, decadent Weimar Berlin inspired revue ‘Anything Goes Cabaret’, collaborated on nightclub ‘Metal 77’ and is the creative mistress behind the artist sessions ‘Drawing Blood Occult Life Drawing’. Off stage Venus moonlights as a costume designer, stylist, tarot reader, witch and artist. All of these elements help inform her work as a dancer so what you see on stage is a multifaceted performance to engage all the senses.
