Since the Smart Cities Council was formed in 2012 in Washington, DC, we have worked as an independent, unbiased body, accelerating projects and smart city solutions that facilitate the delivery of future places that enhance the livability, workability, sustainability and resilience of cities, regions and towns.

A coalition of the technology, data, engineering, innovation and action-focused stakeholders with deep expertise in key areas of the smart cities conversation, such as the built environment, energy, water, communications, connectivity, digital twins, smart buildings and mobility, we are uniquely positioned to build capability and capacity in government, collaboration with private sector and academia and accelerate projects that bring about positive outcomes for people and place.
