Raelene Barnes, Creative Director/ Owner of Brain Stem Creative Floristry

Raelene has been in the floral industry for 12 years. As a floristry student she won numerous training awards including an education scholarship which enabled her to take part in a selective program in Germany with world- renowned Master Florist Gregor Lersch.

 As a competitive florist Raelene has also won numerous awards including Interflora Qld Florist of the Year twice,  and 3rd place, and later Runner- Up in the Interflora Australia Cup National Finals.

 Toowoomba Carnival of flowers has been another place of much success with Raelene winning and placing multiple categories on numerous occasions, including receiving the Mayor's Award in 2014.

 She has also been successful in winning a bronze award in the International Magazine Publication of Fusion Flowers, Designer of the Year competition.

 As an educator, Raelene has conducted floral design demonstrations and workshops for different floral art  associations, private groups and businesses around Qld. She hopes to continue sharing her knowledge and love of the industry by opening her own business, Brain Stem Creative Floristry, providing floristry and creative workshops to people of all skill levels.
