Michael Hann - Gastroenterology Dietitian

Michael HannMNutrDiet (USyd) Bsc (ANU) GCCM (UNSW) APDGastroenterology Dietitian

 

Michael is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Biochemist who specialises in neuro-gastroenterology and the emerging role of the gut microbiome in brain health, metabolism and the immune system.  He has hundreds of patients who have complex gut-brain-immune health issues, such as those with neurodevelopmental delays, neurodegenerative disorders, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue and neuromuscular/joint syndromes.

 

He has worked in major university hospitals across Australia, the USA and Singapore. Now, Michael has a private clinic in Melbourne with a telehealth appointment service that supports patient families and their medical teams with advanced medical nutrition therapies, all over Australia.

 

Michael is the National Vice-Convenor of a clinical discussion group involving hundreds of dietitian members within the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA). He is also the founder and organiser of a large network of clinical education dinners for APDs across 5 cities, facilitating discussion on emerging hot topics such as the microbiome, prebiotics, probiotics and nutraceuticals.
