Michelle Pearson

Michelle Pearson is a singer, songwriter, recording artist and performer and has been singing and studying voice for many years. Well known for her powerful voice, moving interpretations of songs and general honesty in performance, she has performed in numerous cabaret productions, amateur and professional musical theatre productions as well as taken part in large scale government events, corporate and private functions and workshop style concerts.

Early on, Michelle was well known as a solo artist that frequently performed around South Australia and Tamworth. Michelle spent many years fronting cover bands and original ensembles and performed lead roles in Les Miserables, Blues in the Night, Shoah, Dracula Triumphant, Eurobeat and Little Shop of Horrors. Michelle's most recent theatre accolades came from her performance as Ellen in Miss Saigon in SA.

Michelle has taken part in several Fringe Festivals and has been featured in local shows; Spankin New, Changing the Pace, Songs that make you go MMM, The Blues Hour and was part of the sell-out production ‘The Seven Deadly Sings’ in the 2012 Cabaret Fringe Festival in South Australia where she was applauded for her gluttonous performance which saw her spray whipped cream all over herself as she sang 'I Stuff Myself'.

Michelle has since ditched the cream and now regularly sings for high profile government and business functions which has included singing the Australian National Anthem at the 2012 Australia Day Concert in Elder Park in front of 20,000 people.

Michelle has had extensive training in voice and has also completed short acting courses with NIDA and cabaret training with the Australian Cabaret Summer School.

Michelle works in event management, general management and public relations as a day job and has a keen interest in cooking, food and wine culture, travel and the arts. She is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, anti bullying initiatives and animal welfare and she is ridiculously in love with her two pooches Jazz and Rocky.

Michelle Pearson is currently a self managed and self produced artist.
