Maiko Calligraphy

Maiko Howell, founder of Maiko Calligraphy, was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and began studying calligraphy at age 5 under the guidance of her Mother - also a calligrapher.

As a master of Japanese traditional calligraphy, Maiko has held wokshops and regular classes for children and adults throughout Eastern Japan since 2017. Maiko now lives in Tasmania with her family and promotes Japanese calligraphy as an art and all aspects of Japanese culture.
