Jess Bamford

They own and operate Botanical Curiosities: A nursery for unusual/uncommon vegetables, herbs and botanical oddities.

Blue oyster mushrooms (2 days of growth)

Jess has a strong interest in the conservation and cultivation of fungi.
She has been cultivating and foraging for mushrooms for several years, and is a member of the Adelaide fungal studies group, as well as fungimap - 2 orginisations which promote the conservation of Australian fungi. She has also written an aticle on growing mushrooms for the Rare Fruit Society of South Australia, and will be giving two talks on mushroom cultivation at their January mini-conference.
In this workshop, Jess hopes to develop your interest in growing your own fungi for food, give you confidence in several different cultivation methods, as well as promoting ethical foraging and conservation of our native fungi.
