Youth Week & School Holiday Event: Future Worlds Lab (12-16 years)

Youth Week & School Holiday Event: Future Worlds Lab (12-16 years)

Lionel Bowen LibraryMaroubra, NSW
Thursday, Apr 16 from 5 pm to 7 pm
Overview

At this after-dark event you will use Virtual Reality and Digital Music to create a vision for the future!

Step into the future with VR and sound! Using virtual reality sculpting software, teens will bring their visions to life - designing everything from AI robots to futuristic cityscapes - and collaboratively build an immersive 3D world.

You’ll also get hands-on with professional Roland music machines and digital synthesizers to create ambient or beat-driven soundtracks for your future world. No prior VR or music experience is needed, just bring your imagination!

Set in a low-light, after-hours environment, this is a relaxed, creative space to unwind, experiment, and play at the start of Youth Week. Pizzas provided🍕!

This is an open, inclusive event for all teens - LGBTQIA+ friendly, welcoming First Nations people, people of all abilities, and all backgrounds. A safe space for everyone to explore, create, and have fun.

Please note that some headset users may experience dizziness.
