Enjoy the great outdoors, play volleyball, cast a line and learn how to fish on the Georges River. Our First Nations Elders will share their knowledge of the river and take you on a dreamtime journey.

Date: Wednesday,15 April 2026

Time: 10am-2pm

Where: Meet at Paul Keating Park, playground side. The Mall, Bankstown, NSW 2200 for return bus to Burrawang Reach picnic or you can meet at Burrawang Reach picnic area,

Georges River National Park

Who: Ages 12-24 years

Cost: FREE

Transportation: Limited seating

Terms and Conditions:

This activity is for young people who live or study within Canterbury-Bankstown LGA.

Cancellation Policy

If you can no longer attend the activity, registered participants must notify michelle.oconnor@cbcity.nsw.gov.au in writing, no less than 48-hours prior to the event taking place, in order to receive a full refund.

No shows or cancellations received after this 48-hour period are not eligible for any refund.
