Young Men's Mental Health Support

Overview

Parents forum exploring young men, mental health & modern masculinity. Share insights and shape supportive programs together.

In a time where social media influencers work constantly to shape and contest ideas about what men should and shouldn’t be, our young men are left navigating a confusing landscape of conflicting messaging and social pressure to embody someone else’s version of masculinity.

These pressures aren’t just abstract – they have real consequences. In the last year nearly 50% of Australian males aged 16-25 have experienced mental health struggles, with anxiety, depression and substance abuse being most common. Tragically, suicide is also the leading cause of death for people under 24, with 75% of all suicides being among men. It’s never been more important for parents to come together, share insights and develop supportive strategies to support the young men in their lives.

This will be an open forum, designed to hear parent concerns, insights and ideas for how their young men can be supported to be the best and truest version of themselves.

Our goal from this session is to begin developing new programs designed specifically to assist young men as they develop and find their way in the world. We understand that parent insight is essential to this process.

We hope you can join us.
