About this event

Climate change is happening!

We see it in bushfires, floods and rising sea levels. It’s bad enough now, but if we don’t act it will get worse. It is young people who will be most affected by what we do, or fail to do, in the next few years.

The Pulse team would like to invite you to join us for the Young Adult Climate Policy Forum. This forum will highlight the actions the next government of Australia must take, to really tackle climate change, and secure a good future for all.

This forum is aimed especially at youth and young adults in the Uniting Church community, but all are very welcome to come. There will be time for questions and discussion.

This event is being organised in collaboration with Uniting and the Uniting Climate Action Network (UCAN).

GUEST SPEAKERS

Maina Talia

A PhD candidate from Tuvalu. He will speak about climate impacts and why the church and followers of Jesus should care about climate.

Tejopala Rawls

Community organiser for the Australian Religious Response to Climate Change. He will outline actions scientists say we must take to limit harmful climate change.
