YOGA NIDRA

YOGA NIDRA

Overview

From the yogic perspective, Yoga Nidra creates the conditions for the deeper layers of being—the koshas—to become available to consciousness

Rest consciously. Rewire gently. Remember yourself.

Yoga Nidra is a guided yogic sleep practice that invites the body into deep rest while awareness remains softly awake. It is an accessible and nourishing practice for beginners, while also offering profound depth for experienced practitioners.

You will be guided into the state between waking and sleeping, where the body can release effort and tension, and the mind becomes receptive and clear. In this liminal state, the senses are gently withdrawn (pratyahara), allowing awareness to turn inward without strain.

From the yogic perspective, Yoga Nidra creates the conditions for the deeper layers of being—the koshas—to become available to consciousness. As awareness rests and observes, accumulated tensions and subconscious impressions (samskaras) may naturally soften and dissolve, not through analysis or effort, but through presence itself.

This practice is offered with respect for individual capacity and inner timing. You are always welcome to remain connected to sensation, breath, or the grounding of the body, and to adjust your position at any time. Nothing is forced; awareness is invited.

Yoga Nidra is not ordinary sleep, nor is it a technique to “do correctly.” It is a state of conscious rest, where the nervous system settles, clarity emerges, and the mind learns how to relax without losing awareness.

Effects of Regular Practice

-Deep physical and mental relaxation

-Nervous system regulation and improved sleep

-Refinement of awareness and witnessing capacity

-Gentle release of tension from the physical and subtle bodies

-Connection to sankalpa (inner intention) from a quiet, receptive mind
