Session starts, short meditation or breathing technique


We use the first 5 minutes to bring our attention within, feel our breathing and become aware of our current state

12:10 PM - 12:40 PM

Postures


We will do around 4 postures, which will be different each class. I will guide your breathing and your mind during the session, so it will be quite meditative and relaxing

Final Relaxation in savasana


Final rest, where I guide you into a deep relaxation and then finish the class.

About this event

Yin yoga is a style that is based on activating the energy flow within the body by using postures that stimulate the energy meridians and induce relaxation, among other benefits.


In addition to gaining flexibility and increased energy flow, in these sessions, you will be guided into certain meditation practices and breathing techniques that magnify the practice's beneficial effects, train your mind, bring you to the present, and optimize the function of your autonomic nervous system.

For these online sessions you will require:
1. 2x two blocks or something similar you have at home
2. 2x bolsters or thick pillows you have at home
3. A strap, or something like a long sleeve jumper or a belt, ideally with which you can make a loop.

Frequently asked questions

I don't have props do I need to get some?

You can be resourceful with things from your house, that have the same shape or provide the same function. It would certainly be better for you to consider getting your props, simply because they are designed specifically to aid your postures and you will be able to use them at home when needed.

I've never done is, can I try?

Of course! There are always variations and adaptations for all types of bodies and flexibility levels. Each posture starts with its beginners' option and progressively advanced variations are given to cater to people ready for those. Wen someone needs something more gentle, I provide further options

It is my lunch time, what do I do with food?

Have a larger breakfast before 9:00 am, or your usual plus a lighter thing before 10:30 am. Or eat after the class something simple and get back to work. It is good to give the body a break from food, so not having lunch one day a week may result in more energy, enhanced focus and reduced lethargy.

Time seems tight, can I be a little late?

I'll give time for people to join, during the first part of the class. If I don't give you access wait until 12:10 pm right before we start the postures, so that I can give you access. Past that time is more complicate to give you access as I will be demonstrating the postures.
