It’s time to stop the rise in stress and anxiety. Y oga is the answer!

The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit root yuj, which means “to join” or “to yoke” and is commonly interpreted to mean ‘union’ or ‘connection’.

The study and practise of yoga will lead you to understand your body and yourself on a deeper level and will give you a sense of wholeness and connectedness.

WHAT IS YIN YOGA?

Yin yoga is a slow-paced and wonderfully healing style of yoga. Meditative and deeply relaxing, you will place the body in specific postures and hold for extended periods of time, using your breath and mindfulness to release tension and drop into states of peace and relaxation.

The moves are a lot more passive and floor based so are ideal for those with limited mobility or injury. Yin is also an emotionally restorative style as the slow and deliberate poses give you the chance to sink into the movement, relax and self heal.

The practice allows you to slow down, relax, and turn inward, which helps alleviate stress and restore your energy levels. Yin yoga also improves flexibility, boosts circulation, and reduces tension.

Meet your host, Briohny

I first discovered yoga in 2007 and completed my first teacher training in 2014. Since, I have completed additional yoga trainings in Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Kundalini Yoga.

In addition, I’ve sat in countless hours of personal Vipassana meditation practice and mixed in formal trainings in a range of healing modalities including Heart Centred Breathwork, MBSR, Meditation facilitation, NLP, Spiral Dynamics, Neuroscience, Energy healing, Coaching, plus have been mentored by many highly regarded teachers and leaders and Shamans, having worked with plant medicines and shamanic teachers for over 10 years.

My background was in the corporate world for over 10 years, followed by creating an executive coaching business, owning a brand and marketing agency for 10 years before I founded Inspired Wild & Free Yoga & Holistic Studio in 2018 – my most 'on purpose', inspired and fulfilling project to date.

Since closing the studio in 2021 my inspiration to be of service and hold space for peace, healing and human potential, has not changed. I weave my offerings through my creative endeavours working as a property stylist and interior decorator and host events, plus facilitate yoga & wellness retreats and pilgrimages in beautiful sacred places all over the world.

My motto is ‘less stress, more you’; stemming from a compassionate understanding that every now and again, life can get the better of us; and embracing a lifestyle of inspiration, inner connection, mindfulness and self-empowerment as the antidote to living inspired, wild and free.

With the conviction that each of us has the ability to achieve peace, calm and inner freedom, I am inspired to join you on your journey and promise to bring a warm, down to earth style to my sessions, so you’re bound to leave feeling more relaxed, calm & centred, yet most importantly more connected to your inner being.
