Yin is internal, slow, cooling, and grounding. Yang is external, dynamic, warming, and energising. In this class, we honour both.
Move. Soften. Balance.
Yin Yang Yoga weaves together two complementary styles of yoga in one nourishing practice—inviting both stillness and movement, depth and flow.
Rooted in Taoist philosophy, Yin and Yang describe the natural dualities present in all of life.
Yin is internal, slow, cooling, and grounding.
Yang is external, dynamic, warming, and energising.
In this class, we honour both.
Yin Yoga is a slower, meditative practice where poses are passively held for longer periods. This allows us to work deeply into the connective tissues, joints, and fascia, while calming the mind and nervous system.
Yang Yoga, on the other hand, is more active and rhythmic—often inspired by Vinyasa-style flow—supporting strength, circulation, stamina, and embodied presence through breath-led movement.
A Yin Yang class may begin gently with Yin to quiet the mind and open the joints before building heat, or start dynamically with Yang and transition into long, nourishing holds to deeply relax and restore.
The sequencing is intentional and powerful—supporting balance, clarity, and a grounded sense of wellbeing long after you leave the mat.
