Yin & Pins Moving into Late Summer: Saturday 31st January San Remo 4-6pm

Cor Health ClubSan Remo, VIC
Saturday, Jan 31 from 4 pm to 6 pm AEDT
Overview

Yin & Pins : Late Summer. A special fifth season in Traditional Chinese Medicine. A rejuvenating 2 hour yoga session to stimulate & restore.

Join yoga teacher Felicity O’Dea and experienced acupuncturist Louise Norton for a releasing and restoring session of mediation, yin yoga, yoga nidra, aromatherapy, moxibustion and acupuncture focusing on the season Late Summer.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Late Summer is a special fifth season focusing on the Earth element, a time for transition, nourishment and grounding, governed by the Spleen & Stomach, dealing with dampness and centred on balancing worry with empathy as Yang energy shifts to Yin.

It’s a period to slow down, digest the prior year’s experiences and prepare for Autumn by supporting the digestive system with warm, wholesome foods, avoiding excess cold and sweets and managing overthinking.

In Chinese Medicine the Spleen and Stomach not only provide the nourishment and defence for our body but they also support and nourish our mind and spirit as we transition through life.

Take a minute to check in with yourself, how solid on the ground are you feeling today? How easy is it to just go with the flow?

This rejuvenating two hour session will help to stimulate chi (energy) and restore vitality with practises focused on the Spleen & Stomach meridian pair. Our movements, poses and massage will focus on stimulating the energy channels and acupressure points to encourage calming the central nervous system, bringing happiness and vitality, and enhancing our bodies nutrient absorption.

You will emerge from this session feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. After the session you will be given some time to ease back into reality with the offering of a warming drink.

No prior yoga experience necessary. This is a lovely opportunity to experience yoga and gentle acupuncture if you haven't before.

Limited spaces available so be sure to book so you don’t miss out!
