YAS! (Youth Art Studio) | Term 1 Single Tickets
Weekend Art Club for 12 - 15 year olds!
YAS! (Youth Art Studio)
We’re excited to launch YAS! (Youth Art Studio) — a brand new weekend art program designed especially for young people aged 12–15. Created for students who want to try something new, meet like-minded peers and explore creativity in a relaxed, supportive environment, YAS! is all about experimentation, skill-building and fun.
This 9-week term program is structured in three dynamic blocks, with a different artist-educator leading each three-week section. Participants will experience a range of art forms and creative approaches, keeping sessions fresh, engaging and hands-on throughout the term.
- Weeks 1–3: Illustrator Rachel Gregg introduces a range of illustration techniques, encouraging students to develop ideas, characters and visual storytelling skills.
- Weeks 4–6: Art educator Marietta Zafirakos builds on these foundations through stop-motion animation, showing students how drawings can come to life through movement and sequencing.
- Weeks 7–9: Artist Bruce Woods leads the final block, guiding participants in the creation of sculptural works, exploring form, materials and three-dimensional thinking.
No prior art experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try. YAS! offers a welcoming space for teens to experiment, express themselves and build creative confidence, all while working alongside professional artists.
Program Details
Dates: Saturday 7 February – Saturday 4 April (9 weeks)
Time: 2 pm – 4 pm
Ages: 12–15 years
