About this event

  • 3 hours

We look forward to seeing you at our next Yarn on a Farm networking event.

(make sure you read through to know what the day entails)

Come and meet Bodie & Emilie, and of course Bodie's dad Brad, as the leading hand/machine operator/fencing assistant/musterer! Bodie and Emilie are a young couple who've followed a dream and moved from essentially, city life, to run their own farm in Goolman, Ipswich.

With inspiration from Gabe Brown, Alan Savoury, Johann Zeitsman, Charles Massey and Matthew Evans, they're deep down the regenerative agriculture rabbit hole.

They run small numbers of cattle, pigs and goats (with chickens to come soon!) and use these livestock as the driving force for scrub clearing. They're also working intently on repairing/improving the water cycle and soil health of their pastures.

They invite you for a walk through the areas they've cleared and have had the pigs run through, followed by oversowing with a pasture mix. You'll check out the dam overflow that leads into the Chain of Ponds that they've cleaned out and improved.

This event is less of a presentation and more of an opportunity for questions to be asked and answers to come from anyone/everyone.

"As we're less than 3 years into the journey and I certainly don't have all the answers! Hopefully everyone can get involved and learn from each other."
- Bodie
