EVENT DESCRIPTION

Now at 10am-12pm!!

Join our community facilitators Remi and Li in meeting other members to chat over some chai (or any beverage your tastebuds fancy on a saturday afternoon)!

No need to stress if small talk isn’t your jam, we have plenty of topics to kickstart some conversation, plus drinks and snacks are provided! So come along, we are keen to meet you all 😊

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

Parking: There are two disabled parking spots in the front parking area, curb cuts and level ground lead to the cafe entrance.

overflow parking is available through the dickson pool car park, but this requires a longer walk on uneven ground, so we recommend trying to park in the hawdon place parking area if possible.

Public Transport Stops:

  • Light Rail: dickson interchange
  • Bus: anthill street before rosevear place, or anthill street opp rosevear place

Seating: There are options for inside or outside seating and disabled bathrooms located inside the cafe.

Toilets: disabled toilets are located inside and include baby changing facilities.

Service and Assistance Animals: Service and assistance animals are allowed in all public places. You do not need to carry and ID or registration and special garments or harnesses are optional.


COVID SAFETY

  • If you have any cold or flu symptoms do not attend the event, this is not only for covid safety but also general disability safety.
  • We encourage masking at our events, N95 masks and hand sanitizer will be available at events.
  • If you test positive with covid up to 10 days after the event, please email WWDACT so we can notify the other attendees (community@wwdact.org.au). Your identity will be kept confidential.

What is the Our Autonomy Project?

The DSS has funded WWDACT to run Our Autonomy until June 2027. It's being run by people with disabilities, for people with disabilities to build skills, knowledge, & confidence. It includes 3 parts: Peer events , Info & skill building workshops, yearly member magazine.
