Join author and editor Jane Smith in this practical two-hour workshop on editing for writers. The session includes everything emerging authors need to know about editing: what it is, how it works and how to get the best possible value from your editor.
During the workshop you will:
- learn to recognise and avoid common writing errors
- identify the different types and stages of editing
- practise using some basic editing tools and techniques
- understand how to find the right editor for you
Participants will get the most out of some of the practical elements if they bring a laptop with Word installed. If this is not possible, bring along a notepad and pen.
About the author: Jane is an Australian author, editor and librarian/archivist who loves to bring history to life through fiction and non-fiction for all ages. Her books have been shortlisted and longlisted for literary awards.
