Researcher Skill Development Workshop

In a series of workshops led by the team at GrantEd Group, develop skills to ensure funding proposals, business development opportunities and career pathways are planned, communicated and delivered to position you for success and impact. The workshops following a proven methodology; delivering a suite of case study-driven sessions designed to enable you to develop your professional skills, accelerating your success.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

This workshop will assist researchers to understand the fundamentals involved in attracting and winning non-category 1 funding (e.g. from consultancies, tenders and contracts), including helping you to:
• understand the differences between Category 1 funding and Category 2/3 – scope, positioning, structure, writing style, evidence of past performance and impact, and working for a ‘client’
• develop an appreciation of funder expectations of research impact
• build relationships and purposefully plan to be visible for opportunities
• plan bid management including tools to utilise and strategies to consider
• work through a discipline-specific case study
• identify who’s who in the zoo
• establish new connections
• define and explain value and needs
• understand the art of listening
• identify the different forms of partnership
• get to ‘yes’
• set up and manage an effective partnership project
