About this event

A free, weekly event every MONDAY to help you develop good writing habits.

About this event

In collaboration with Queensland Writers Centre, Writing Monday @ Hervey Bay Library is a free, volunteer-led program for writers at all levels. Come write and meet writers in your local community. Everyone is welcome, regardless of genre and skill.

We understand that life can get in the way of writing. That is why we have Writing Monday, a chance for you to get those words down on the page. This is a space that will nurture your craft and encourage a routine you can stick to.

Queensland Writers Centre's successful Writing Friday program uses the Pomodoro Technique of 25-minute blocks of writing, followed by 5-minute blocks (4 sessions of 25-minutes with a 5-minute break between each). The method trains the mind to effectively reach smaller targets, improving your overall writing time and productivity.

Current session dates are:

  • 2024 March 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th
  • 2024 April 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th
  • 2024 May 13th, 20th & 27th
  • 2024 June 3rd, 10th,17th & 24th

Please book a ticket for each session you would like to attend.
