About this event

  • 1 day 3 hours

Make your writing as engaging as possible, whether it's for websites, email campaigns, newsletters or social media

Unlike a normal writing workshop, this course explains key usability (UX), accessibility and SEO concepts to make your online content more effective and increase conversions (and AI won’t do this for you).

This course also acts as a refresher for those who want to tighten their writing skills: even experienced copywriters get a lot out of it.

Hands on, practical and filled with plenty of exercises, it's taught by a former Sydney Morning Herald editor with over 25 years of experience.

Only eight places are available to ensure everyone receives personalised attention.

Digital handbooks and certificates will be given, in addition to a recording of the webinar.

The course will be taught over two half days on Zoom.

I'm a former Sydney Morning Herald editor and journalist who's as obsessed with the written word as I am with cats – and that's saying something.

With over 25 years of editorial experience across magazines, newspapers, marketing and communications, I know how to make different kinds of copy effective across both print and online.

I've been teaching writing and editing for over 15 years – first at UTS and The University of Sydney, and then for a wide range of organisations in addition to running public courses.
