Writing a journal article in HASS and other non-STEM disciplines

In this session, we will discuss the process for writing and submitting a journal article for researchers in the HASS disciplines.

We will briefly discuss when to publish your higher degree research and how to choose a journal to showcase your work. Drawing on the presenter’s role as a journal editor, we will also look at the process of submitting to a journal, what the review process entails, and responding to reviewers. This session is best suited to HDR candidates conducting mixed methods, qualitative or practice-led research.
