A free short workshop to understand the results-based project management framework for community-based, positive change projects.

About this Event

  • Do you want to become familiar with some of the tools and language of project management?

Then this FREE 1/2 day workshop is for you! 

The City of Parramatta's Community Capacity Building Team run these free short workshops for community-based workers & volunteers to become familiar with the basics of project planning, monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on the Results-Based Management framework. Workshops include presentations by the facilitator as well as individual and group work.

 

Three workshop dates are available - two weekdays (1 x face-to-face & 1 x online) and a Saturday face-to-face, with registrations via separate Eventbrite pages. You only need to register for ONE workshop. Further details are provided below.

PLEASE ONLY REGISTER for a workshop if you can commit to attending, so that other people do not miss out.

COVID-19: Care is being taken with hygiene and social distancing with the delivery of the face-to-face workshops. The room limit for workshops 2 & 3 is 16 people under COVID-19 social distancing measures, and we have set the participant limit to less than this. Participants will be expected to follow good hygiene practices, and hand sanitiser as well has handwashing facilities will be available. To mitigate risks, no morning/afternoon tea will be provided - please BYO or purchase from a nearby store. Tea and coffee making facilities will be available, but participants will be required to sanitise hands prior to their use.

Please Note - Registration Terms & Conditions: Council implements a policy where people who have booked workshop tickets, and do not show up or confirm attendance when requested, may not be able to secure a confirmed place at future workshops. Spaces are very limited - should your circumstances change after a booking a ticket and you are no longer able to attend, please ENSURE YOU INFORM the convenor via the contact on this page or CANCEL your ticket via Eventbrite.

Workshop 2 - Face-to-Face (Hygiene and Social Distancing measures employed)

Time: 12:45 pm - 4:30pm (Workshop begins 1:00 pm sharp)

Afternoon Tea: Due to hygiene measures in place, participants are asked to BYO Afternoon Tea or purchase from nearby stores. Coffee and Tea will be available upon arrival /for afternoon tea, but participants will be required to sanitise their hands prior to use of the facilities.

Workshop 3 - Face-to-Face (Hygiene and Social Distancing measures employed)

Date: Saturday, 28 November 2020

Time: 9:15am - 1:00pm (Workshop begins 9:30am sharp)

Morning Tea: Due to hygiene measures in place, participants are asked to BYO Morning Tea or purchase from nearby stores. Coffee and Tea will be available upon arrival/for morning tea, but participants will be required to sanitise their hands prior to use of the facilities.

 

Directions: Google Maps Link - the venue for both workshops is a short walk from Parramatta Transport Interchange, and is an accessible venue. Paid Parking is available in Parramatta, though public transport is advised where possible.

 

Ticket Limitations: One booking per person is allowed - please be sure to include the information of the person attending the workshop. These workshops are for community workers and volunteers of non-profit organisations/networks only.
