Event Information
Description
Workshop on New Zealand’s second National Open Government Action Plan:
Thank you for your interest in contributing to New Zealand's Action Plan for Open Government
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) recognises that central government can be very effective when citizens are aware and engaged in building an open society. The focus of the partnership is on developing a two-year National Action Plan between citizens and government, through which the government commits to being more open, accountable and responsive.
The State Services Commission has commissioned engage2 to raise awareness about the OGP and invite New Zealanders to participate in the development of the National Action Plan. The following workshop is your opportunity to learn more about and actively participate in the partnership.
At this workshop you will:
- receive an introduction to the Open Government Partnership;
- have a chance to discuss what open government means to you with others, and;
- develop potential actions for government to take over the next two years to become more accountable, open and responsive to citizens.
We look forward to seeing you there.
