Artist Erin Coates will lead participants through the process of concept development and composition, encouraging thoughtful consideration of each individual’s creative interests. Erin will cover the technical basics of drawing such as how to prepare the design, paper and tools, shading techniques and other tips and tricks. Participants will have the opportunity

to either draw directly from the Museum’s collection of bones and marine specimens or learn collage techniques which can be extended with drawing. Images and illustrations from vintage nature books and all other materials required for the class will be provided.

Suitable for ages 16+ | $80.00 per person | Places are limited | Bookings essential

Ticket includes workshop materials and light refreshments

Register at the Information Desk in the foyer 15-minutes prior to the start of the program.

This workshop will be held in the Discovery Centre. You must register before accessing the workshop.

No food or drinks, other than bottled water are allowed in the Discovery Centre.

Food and drink are not permitted inside MAGNT's gallery spaces.

Please stow your snacks and drink bottles in a locker behind the Information Desk.

Large backpacks and bags must also be stowed.
