The NYSF is an evidence based guide to understand and respond to the needs of young
people in their settlement journey. The framework can inform policy, program development
and service delivery across government and the non-government sectors and is supported
by practical resources.
The framework contains four sections:
• Understanding the refugee and migration experience for adolescents
• Understanding the Australian settlement context
• Facilitating good youth settlement through active citizenship – domains and indicators
• Facilitating good practice in youth settlement – good practice capabilities
CMY is offering a practical one day training session using activities and case studies for staff
to explore the guide.
