Discover Noongar seasonal land care in this adult two-way science workshop with Koorda’s Crew at Wanneroo Regional Museum.

Noongar people have been caring for Country for thousands of years through deep knowledge of sustainable land management, guided by the seasons.

Join Koorda’s Crew at Wanneroo Regional Museum for this dedicated introductory workshop that explores how Noongar people worked with Country to grow yams known as warrine / woorine and to catch fish.

Participants will create a mini model of the landscapes discussed using playdough to better understand how they work.

Please note that this is an adult-focused workshop. Kids over 12 can participate, but it won't be suitable for little ones. Check out our kid-friendly workshops here

Part of Koorda's Crew ’s Solid Science Workshops, this session combines Noongar knowledge and Western science to deepen understanding of land care practices.
