Overview

Working with Children after Complex Trauma is an introduction to the affect of trauma on a child's development, emotions and cognition.

The purpose of this in person 2-day training (8:30-4:30) is to support health professionals, support staff, carers and educators working in the care industry. It aims to to ensure that all participants are afforded opportunity for maintaining skills and enhancing their knowledge base in the management of children with complex needs subsequent to their difficult life experiences.

The training package has been developed as a way of assisting people in the management of children and young persons in care. The program is both theoretical and practical in delivery and the content includes:
