This session is for all school and early childhood teachers who are working towards accreditation at Proficient Teacher, their supervisors, Teacher Accreditation Authorities (TAAs) and others managing accreditation in schools or early childhood services.
The session focuses on developing an understanding of the requirements for Proficient Teacher accreditation and provides advice and practical activities for teachers.
The session will cover the following topics:
- the Australia Professional Standards for Teachers
- teaching as a professional continuum
- understanding Standards-based teaching practice
- the journey to Proficient Teacher accreditation
- visible teaching practice and impact
- developing authentic evidence
- writing annotations
- accreditation decisions.
The session is delivered online. All sessions start promptly at 4:00pm.
