Working Bee to fix ponds and plant native plants at Spring Plains

We need your help to restore the ponds at spring plains NCR as part of the Spring Plains watershed repair project. Last year 21 ponds were built along the Peters Gully ephemeral creek. This was done to slow down flows and retain water in the landscape for longer durations. Unfortunately the heaviest flows seen in centuries came only months after the ponds were constructed and semi-aquatic plants were planted. Several of the ponds were completely destroyed but most only recieved minor damage, these are the ponds we aim to restore with this event. With your help we will use shovels to reinstate the soil around the structures.
