With sparkling night skies and low levels of artificial light in the town, Wongan Hills is an excellent destination for stargazing. With a variety of surrounding landscapes such as the expansive Lake Ninan, it truly is an astrophotographer’s dream.

7:30pm - Spectacular green laser pointer tour of Southern Hemisphere constellations

7:45pm - Viewing through telescopes. See the Milky Way, Southern Cross, the Magellanic Clouds, Star Clusters and more

9:00pm - Event End

PLEASE NOTE - This event will go ahead regardless of weather. We have a range of fantastic space activities, video presentations and a talk on the Total Solar Eclipse for visitors to enjoy. Plus, space Q&A.

There will be telescopes available for visitors to view through. You're welcome to bring your own binoculars and/or telescope too.
