Welcome to the White Rock Hike, an adventure nestled near Cairns, Queensland. As part of a free 'Women Want Adventure' meet-up, we're extending an open invitation to women eager to form connections and make new friends.
On this moderately challenging out-and-back trail, you'll traverse the beautiful scenery of Dinden National Park, beside the Lake Morris Reserve. The hike offers a blend of serenity and exhilaration and takes a little over two hours to complete. Expect panoramic views of Cairns, Trinity Inlet, Walsh’s Pyramid, and Yarrabah from one of the best peak lookout points near Cairns.
Our journey starts in Kanimbla, leading up Lake Morris Road, a narrow winding 10-km stretch. From a steep incline winding through rainforest up to White Rock Lookout, the trail will then descend sharply to the mountain's eastern face. You'll perch safely on a rocky outcrop and take in breathtaking views. The return will involve a scramble back up the incline to our cars.
