About this event

Jervis Bay is one of Australia’s most spectacular paddling locations. It features crystal clear water, white sand beaches, and a fantastic array of wildlife with over 200 species of birds and 180 species of fish.

Our trip winds its way from the river at Huskisson into the bay to explore the shoreline of Callala and Huskisson Beach towards Moona Moona Creek. As we take in the expansive panoramic views of the entire bay, keep your eyes peeled for our pod of resident bottlenose dolphins, little penguins, and turtles. After a delicious morning tea, a fossicking beach walk, or a swim, we make our way up Currambene Creek to explore the bay's unique and delicate mangrove system.

We will weave our way through these beautiful trees, listening to the birdsong and identifying marine life, chatting about the bay's interesting history and diverse culture. Many of us attend individually, offering a great opportunity to meet like-minded friends.

About

Experience the magic of the Jervis Bay Marine Park with its stunning waterways, rocky foreshores, and gorgeous beaches all just a paddle stroke away on this tailored Sit On Top Kayak adventure. Meeting at Huskisson’s Dent Street kayak launching area, we will set off to spot stingrays and sea eagles on the clear waters of Currambene Creek, checking out the beautiful mangrove environments and sandy edges of this diverse estuary system.

We will cruise along, taking in the sights and sounds of river life before venturing out into the bay for some open water action, keeping an eye out for the local resident bottlenose dolphins. Stopping for morning tea, a relax on the beach, and a swim, we will bring out the Anzac biscuits and other yummy goodies and chat over coffee or tea. Into the kayaks again, we will meander back to our launching area and finish off a sensational morning on the water.
