Event description
Meet and interact virtually with five women who have inspiring jobs in technology (see speaker bio's below)

About this event

Each of the speakers will use graphics as they:

  • Explain what they do in their job on a typical day
  • Share what they like about their work
  • Provide a summary of their career journey summary since leaving school
  • Speak about challenges faced along the way & how they tackled them
  • Provide a word of advice to young female students embarking on their career journey

There will an opportunity to send in questions to the speakers toward the end of the session.

Teachers and parents can register and nominate the number of students they plan to have in a classroom setting or students can register themselves if they want to participate from home.

The online session joining link will be sent to you within 24 hours of the session commencement.

GUEST SPEAKER BIO’S

Krishia Catabay - Regional Sourcing Manager

A Regional Sourcing Manager who enjoys buying stuff, Krishia has an educational background in Finance and a career history in Sourcing and Procurement. She is currently responsible for the supply chain of AWS Infrastructure build materials across the APAC region.

Rajita Baniya Khattri - Data Centre Technician

Rajita is a Data Center Technician at Amazon Web Services. Her early career was working part-time in retail and customer service roles, but after graduating with a Masters of Information Technology, She started this role at AWS. As a Technician , her role is to provide operational support within AWS Data Centres.

Leanne Cartwright-Bradford - Head of Operations at Audible

Leanne is the Head of APAC Operations at Audible. Her teams drive expansion of Audible, developing best-in-class spoken word entertainment. Leanne has extensive experience within the entertainment and technology industries. Prior to Audible, Leanne has held senior commercial and marketing roles within Amazon’s Appstore, Samsung and Twentieth Century Fox.

Marina Calligeros - Health & Safety Manager

Marina is a Health and Safety Manager with experience working in the Data Centre, Retail and Warehousing industries.

Kelly Pan - Mechanical Engineer

Kelly currently works as a Mechanical Engineer in the AWS design team, designing data centers across the Asia Pacific region. She has spent the last 5 years of her career in a wide range of roles, from construction based to office roles, helping build all types of structures including residential towers, hospitals, office towers, community centers and of course, Data Centres.
