Meet our Panelists:
Miranda Ratajski, Chief Information Officer, Group Business Units, Westpac
As the Chief Information Officer for Group Business Units at Westpac, Miranda leads the strategy and delivery of technology across the bank’s HR, Finance, Risk, Operations, Property, Procurement and Customer Solutions functions. She brings over 30 years of experience across the finance and banking sectors, telecommunications and the federal government, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale and complex business and technology transformations that create value for both customers and employees.
Miranda is passionate about driving data and digital innovation, enabling greater diversity and sustainability, and fostering a customer-obsessed, people-centric culture. She has a deep understanding of the industry’s strategic and commercial drivers, alongside the regulatory and compliance requirements that underpin them.
She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and is also a volunteer yoga teacher and a committed diversity champion. Her leadership has been recognised both locally and globally, including being named one of the Fintech Top 100 Women Globally, as well as an Inclusive Leader and Woman of Influence by Women in Banking and Finance.
Alicia Valderrama, Director, Global Operations and Marketing, Sekuro
Alicia is the Director of Global Operations and Marketing at Sekuro, where she leads transformational change and drives operational excellence across the organisation’s international business. Working closely with the executive leadership team, Alicia plays a pivotal role in delivering strategic initiatives that support Sekuro’s rapid global expansion while ensuring operational efficiency, innovation and scalability.
Her role spans global operations and administration, human resources and talent strategy, process engineering and systems architecture, IT infrastructure and digital transformation, sales operations and revenue optimisation, and international integration and growth. Alicia partners closely with the CEO, CFO and COO to shape and execute business-critical strategies across Sekuro’s operations in Australia, the UK and Asia.
Alicia has led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that enhance operational performance and enable sustainable international growth. She is instrumental in developing scalable, data-driven frameworks that support informed decision-making and organisational agility, and works collaboratively with the Head of HR to design progressive people strategies focused on talent development, leadership capability and building a strong, connected global culture.
With a strong focus on breaking down organisational silos, Alicia champions cross-functional collaboration and innovation. She also leads the evolution of sales and revenue operations to improve client experience and accelerate business performance, while providing executive sponsorship for strategic innovation projects that strengthen Sekuro’s future-ready operational capabilities.
Sarah Bradley, Director of Data Science & AI, Nasdaq
Sarah is the Director of Data Science & AI at Nasdaq Market Surveillance, where she leads the research, development, and deployment of AI and machine learning systems that safeguard the integrity of global financial markets. Her work underpins the world’s leading market surveillance technology, empowering more than 50 exchanges and 15 regulators globally to detect financial crime and maintain trust in capital markets.
Her expertise focuses on building AI tools that are accurate, transparent, and trusted in high-stakes regulatory environments. She has led initiatives that have transformed how analysts investigate market activity—accelerating workflows, improving the quality of insights, and ensuring solutions align with regulatory expectations.
Recognised as the Women in AI APAC Award Winner (Finance), a finalist in the Australian Financial Review AI Awards, and a speaker at Vogue Codes and AI4HER, Sarah combines deep technical expertise with strong communication skills, enabling her to bridge the gap between research, product development, regulators, and the public.
Beyond her role at Nasdaq, Sarah is deeply committed to the future of responsible AI and to improving representation in STEM. As the Australian Lead for Nasdaq’s Women in Tech Network, she has driven initiatives that support women in technology, and she actively volunteers as a school speaker to inspire the next generation of girls to pursue careers in STEM.
Annabel Zhou, Site Reliability Engineer, Google and Founder, Toastie
Annabel is a Software Engineer at Google and the co-founder of Toastie, a health tech startup developing AI-powered tools that help individuals with chronic illness better manage and understand their health - an initiative inspired by her own lived experience.
A First Class Honours graduate in Software Engineering from UNSW, Annabel completed her thesis in machine learning for cognitive load detection. At Google, she has developed and launched various features across Google Photos, Chrome/ChromeOS, and now works on site reliability for Android, improving the stability and performance of a platform used by over 3 billion devices globally.
Annabel combines deep technical expertise with a strong sense of empathy, building solutions that prioritise accessibility, inclusion, and real-world impact. A former Startmate Fellowship coach and UNSW academic tutor, she is deeply committed to supporting the next generation of technologists, mentoring women in tech and regularly speaking at industry events.
